Join us for an inspiring event featuring Dwayne Tomah, a Passamaquoddy language keeper and cultural leader, and Jordan Ramos, a multidisciplinary artist and environmental advocate.

Featured Speakers:

Dwayne Tomah

  • Fluent speaker and teacher of the Passamaquoddy language.

  • Works on preserving Indigenous culture through language apps, songs, and museum curation.

  • Currently collaborating with the Library of Congress to translate historic Passamaquoddy recordings.

  • Advocate for Indigenous rights and historical truth.

Jordan Ramos

  • University of Maine student double-majoring in Environmental Science and Studio Art.

  • Creates art that explores the connection between humans and nature, focusing on sustainability.

  • Awarded the McGillicuddy Humanities Fellowship for her project on Maine’s wild blueberry harvest heritage.

  • Her work will be exhibited in 2025 at the Wild Blueberry Heritage Museum.
