Dwayne Tomah

Fluent speaker and teacher of the Passamaquoddy language.

Works on preserving Indigenous culture through language apps, songs, and museum curation.

Currently collaborating with the Library of Congress to translate historic Passamaquoddy recordings.

Jordan Ramos

University of Maine student double-majoring in Environmental Science and Studio Art.

Creates art that explores the connection between humans and nature, focusing on sustainability.

Awarded the McGillicuddy Humanities Fellowship for her project on Maine’s wild blueberry harvest heritage.

Her work will be exhibited in 2025 at the Wild Blueberry Heritage Museum.
